Nambucca River
Cemetery Transcriptions
Macksville
(volume 1)
Compiled by Judy Hoole
The headstones in the Macksville cemetery have been transcribed and are listed in this volume. The Nambucca Shire Council took over the records for cemeteries in the 1960s and these records have been utilised to establish religious denominations, and the row and plot mumbers. The transcript entries are in row and grave order. Family plots, and where clearly evident, these have been combined in the one entry, although separate grave numbers are stated. Entries where a headstone does not exist have been extracted from Council records.
There is an index in each book which allows ease of locating the transcript within this volume, and a map detailing the locations of the various religious denominations in the cemetery, which will greatly assist researchers in locating the graves.
